The most important change is that the nasty TRAPs that sometimes caused trouble now should be gone due to a change in scsi-sourcecode.

for EPSON FilmScan 200 Negative Scanners
Does not work with scanimage 1.0.7, but has been reported to work with scanimage 1.0.8 from Paul Floyd
Both versions work for me (Epson GT9500 and Mustek 600S/600 II CD flatbed SCSI-scanners connected to a NCR-810 PCI-SCSI-Adapter) and for some others (Microtek and Mustek), but I don't have too much feedback. So it's your own risk.
There are older/other ports for OS/2.
